Choosing a style

Watercolour world maps — our largest group, in everything from soft pastels and earth tones to bold rainbow and navy. Continents washed in colour rather than outlined in detail. Best when you want the map to work as art first and reference second.

Minimalist world maps — black, marble and single-tone designs with clean edges. Best for modern interiors, monochrome schemes and offices where anything busier would distract.

Physical (topographic) world map — shows real terrain: mountain ranges, ocean depth, desert and forest. Best for anyone who actually reads maps, and for classrooms and studies.

Political world map — country borders and names, the classic reference map. Best for children's rooms, studies, and anyone who wants to look things up rather than just look.

Which room, which map?

Home office or study — navy, black or marble hold their own against a screen and a bookshelf without competing. The physical map suits a study where it'll actually get used.

Living room — earth tones and warm watercolours sit comfortably with wood and neutral walls. Go large: 100×70 cm or A0 anchors a sofa wall far better than something smaller.

Nursery or child's room — pastel and soft rainbow watercolours are gentle enough for a nursery; the political map earns its place a few years later.

Hallway or stairwell — landscape formats like 70×50 cm and 90×60 cm suit the long, narrow walls these spaces tend to have.

Questions people ask

What sizes are available?
Most designs run from 70×50 cm up to A0 (118.9×84.1 cm), and several also start as small as A4. Every size is listed in both centimetres and inches on the product page.

Which size should I choose?
For a sofa or bed wall, 100×70 cm or A0 looks deliberate rather than lost. Above a desk, 70×50 cm or 80×60 cm is usually right. Below A2, a world map starts to lose its detail — go larger if the wall allows.

Can I get one framed?
Yes. Choose a black metal frame or a white, natural, dark or black wood frame, and it arrives ready to hang with a hanging kit. Unframed prints ship flat so you can frame them yourself. Canvas is available on selected designs.

What are they printed on?
200 gsm semi-glossy art paper with a subtle sheen and deep colour — heavy enough to hang unframed without curling.

Is delivery free?
Delivery is free on prints to the UK, the EU, the United States, Canada, Australia and New Zealand. Orders to Asia are charged a flat delivery fee, calculated and shown at checkout before you pay.

How long does delivery take?
Each print is made to order at our nearest production partner to your delivery address, so shipping stays short wherever you are. Allow 2–3 business days for production before dispatch. If you need it by a particular date, message us before ordering and we'll confirm whether it's achievable.

Do the maps show country names?
The political world map does, and one watercolour design includes labels. The rest are unlabelled, which is what keeps them working as art.
